This workshop fixes the message. In four hours. With eight people who are doing the same work at the same time, which means you hear your answers out loud and you hear theirs. That's the part that makes it work.
What you build

The 8 questions (60 min)
Every business has a clear message somewhere inside it. These eight questions find it. You write your answers live. Matt walks the room. Mask and Scar are where people freeze — that's where the real work happens.
Build the brief (45 min)
Take your 8 answers and write your one-page messaging brief. Then read your one-sentence business description aloud. The room tells you if it landed. That feedback is worth more than any consultant's note.
Build your digital card (20 min)
Run your brief through the Plainspoken card tool on your phone. Your answers are already written — the quiz is fast. You leave with a live card at a permanent URL, a QR code, and a print-ready file.
What comes next (15 min)

Matt Headley is the founder of Plainspoken Blueprint — a messaging practice that helps small businesses say what they do in words their customers actually understand.
He has worked with nonprofits, churches, wedding vendors, and small business owners across northeast Alabama. Before that, fifteen years in pastoral ministry, a farm built from nothing, and software pitched to investors who said no. He learned most of what he knows about messaging from the times it failed.
